On Saturday, the varsity boys’ soccer team (5-3-1) played yet another fantastic game at home against the South Allegheny Gladiators ending with a score of 9-1. For the first time this season, all of the players on the team were able to see varsity time. The nine goals in the game were scored by junior Andrew Smith, senior Nick Taylor, senior David Smith, junior Donovan Woytsek, sophomore Max Salankiewicz, and freshman Dakota Woytsek. Salankiewicz and Woytsek scored multiple goals; Max scored two and Dakota scored 3. Seniors Nick Taylor and David Smith scored their first goals of their senior season. Assists on these goals were made by Andrew Smith, Adam Stefl, Nick Snyder, and Robbie Hrabosky. Goalies Austin Onofrey, Logan Cherepko, and Ethan Callaghan made multiple saves that we’re also instrumental to the Warriors’ success. The boys’ next game is this Tuesday at home against McGuffey.
