Head Coach - Doug Finke
Coach Finke enters his 7th year as the head coach of the program and 9th overall.
Finke posted an 8-10-1 record in his inaugural season in charge of the Warriors after spending two seasons as an assistant coach with the Warrior soccer program. He was an assistant coach at Elizabeth Forward from 2015-2016. In his first year in charge, he helped guide the Warriors to their 2nd straight playoff appearance where they fell in the first round to Mt. Pleasant.
Prior to joining the Warrior program Finke was a head coach at the Steel Magic Soccer Club in the south hills for 8 years where he coached on the girl’s side ranging from U12-U17.
As a player Finke was a 4-year player and senior captain at California University of Pennsylvania where he helped guide the Vulcans to 2 PSAC championship appearances in 2003 and 2005 and their first NCAA tournament berth in 2004. He played high school soccer for Cincinnati Elder from 1998-2001.
Finke works as an Environmental Consultant in Pittsburgh and he and his wife reside in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania with their twin daughter and son.
He currently holds a “D” license from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
Assistant Coach – Ryan Lee
Coach Lee enters his first season of high school soccer this season. He previously spent the last 5 year with our middle school program. Lee has also been helping in our youth program since 2018.
Prior to coaching Lee was a 4-year starter here at EF where he played goalie. He served as a senior captain where he helped the Warriors return to the playoffs in 2016 for the first time in years. Lee was also awarded all section honors in 2015 and 2016. Lee was part of the class of 2017 at EF.
Lee works as a 6th grade math teacher in Elizabeth Forward.
Assistant Coach – Tyler Trunzo
Coach Trunzo enters his first year here at EF previously helping as a volunteer coach through the EFSA program with the Warriors for the past 6 years.
Prior to coaching Trunzo was a 4-year player at Elizabeth Forward High School. He served as a 2-year captain, the only junior to get it at the time, where he helped the Warriors return to the playoffs in 2016 for the first time in years. Trunzo was part of the class of 2017 at EF.
Trunzo is a member of the US Air Force where he has spent time in the Middle East in support of Operation Spartan Shield, Inherent Resolve, and Prosperity Guardian. He now works full time at the 171st ARW in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Volunteer Coach - Zach Bright
Coach Bright returns to the program for his 8th season. Bright has served as an assistant coach for the last 6 years and now is coming back as a volunteer coach.
Prior to coaching Bright was 4-year player at West Mifflin High School. He also coached the high school age boys for the Elizabeth Forward Soccer Association for 2 seasons.
Bright works as a Service Technician and resides in McKeesport.
